Once upon a time

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs illustrated by Nancy Ekholm Burkert (1972) was my all-time favorite fairy tale. The images transported me to a different realm, one with magic and battles between good and evil. As I begin this journey into fairy tales and fantasy, my goal is to use words to create images that will transport my readers into lands both magical and inspired.

How is winter looking where you are? It's pretty mild here in Florida, but my siblings in Oklahoma and Virginia have had snow already. What's better on a cold, wintery day than curling up beside a fire with a cup of hot tea or cocoa (with marshmallows, of course) and a good book to read.
